Cannabis Oil VS CBD Oil
It is important to notice that cannabis oil is not the same as CBD oil. Cannabinoid THC is not present in CBD oil, reason why its legalities vary over countries. However, it can be made using the same guide but your trim should not contain THC. To make it, you should use constituents of the hemp plant. The hemp plant is identically the same as the cannabis plant but the female plants have very low levels of THC.

How to Make Cannabis Oil
Make sure that you have all the items that are listed below and shown in the picture. Also, have the enough time for the processing itself. This may take a couple of hours depending on how much oil you are planning to make.
Step 1: Set up, ingredients and appliances.
- 1 ounce of trim.
- 95% alcohol for consumption (Everclear for example)
- 2 glass bowls
- A 220 micron Bubble bag or a coffee filter
- A rice cooker
- 1 cooking scale
- 1 Wooden spoon
- 1 possibly a fan
- Olive oil
- Pipette bottle(s)
Step 2: Mixing the trim with the alcohol.
In the first part, we will use alcohol to extract the various healing cannabinoids from the trim. To get started put your trim in one of the glass bowls. It is recommended to use glass instead of plastic bucket. As the alcohol may extract substances from the plastic that you do not want in your cannabis oil. When all your trim is in your glass bowl we can start to pour alcohol into the bowl until the trim is nicely submerged by the alcohol.
Furthermore, we recommend alcohol and trim to be together no longer than 3 minutes. After 3 minutes all the healing cannabinoids are already extracted and after this other not useful plant material will also be extracted into your oil. As they are of no use and will negatively influence the purity and taste of your oil you should obey the 3-minute rule. After that, it is time to separate your trim from the alcohol using the second glass bowl.
Step 3: Filter out the plant material.
In this part of the process, you will need your coffee filter or 220-micron bubble bag. Place the filter screen above your second bowl and pour the substance from the first bowl in the second. You now have separated the trim from the alcohol and in your second bowl, you will have alcohol filled with the healing cannabinoids.
Once bowl is filled with a clean substance containing alcohol and cannabinoids, check if there are no small parts of the trim still in the substance. Clean your bubble bag or pantyhose and filter your substance a second time. Also, make sure your substance is nice and clean we can move on to the next step of the process.
Step 4: Separating the cannabinoids from the alcohol.
We will use the rice cooker in order to separate the alcohol from the cannabinoids. The reason why we use a rice cooker is that of the maximum temperature of a rice cooker as it will not exceed much more as 80 C. This is important because most healing cannabinoids will burn with temperatures higher than 100 C. This is also why smoking cannabis is not as beneficial as consuming cannabis oil.
It is very important to notice that the alcohol is highly flammable and the gasses are very unhealthy to breathe in. Therefore it’s best to carry out this step outside or in a well-ventilated room. Before you start evaporating the alcohol make sure you know how much the pan from the rice cookers weighs as it will make it easy to add the right amount of olive oil later on in the process. Make sure the gasses from the alcohol will cause no harmful situations and you know the weight of your rice cooker pan you are ready to pour your substance slowly into the rice cooker and press on the cook function.
The alcohol will now slowly start to evaporate leaving only a thick paste of cannabinoids at the bottom of the rice cooker eventually. When all the alcohol is gone it is important to keep the oil in the rice cooker until there are no longer bubbles in your oil. When your oil doesn’t show bubbles anymore you know all the alcohol is gone and the oil is ready and safe to consume.
Step 5: Consuming and storing your Cannabis Oil.
You are one step away from consuming your very own cannabis oil. In this last step, you need to check how much Cannabis oil you have produced exactly. We will first put our pan from the rice cooker on the weighing scale again. Take this new weight and subtract the weight from the pan we will know exactly how much cannabis oil we’ve produced.
Add the right amount of olive oil in order to make the cannabis oil easily consumable and not too strong for beginners. The most used dilution is 1 part pure cannabis oil and 4 parts olive oil. So if we produced 2 grams of pure cannabis oil we then add 8 grams of olive oil.
The easiest way to blend this is to use your rice cooker again and warm both oils so they will easily blend together. Consume it easily by putting your cannabis oil in a pipette bottle.
